{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Going on a walk and seeing the comfrey popping up. (I know not everyone would be happy to see it, because I’ve heard it can spread quite a bit, but we’ve never had any issues with it spreading here probably due to the clay soil it’s growing in.)
.
…My mom being back in the US so we could talk on the phone again, and she could tell me all about her trip. E-mails are great, but I really missed the sound of her voice.
.
…The surprise of sunshine when we thought the day was going to be rainy. And then all of us having some time being barefoot in the warm sun. It felt amazing after a winter filled with cold, rainy days.
.
…The reminder to laugh! And not take anything too seriously. I need that reminder on a daily basis, laughter is truly the best medicine.
.
…A birthday gift we sent arriving just in time. We were so pleased.
.
…Prioritizing what I focused on, when I was overwhelmed by my to do list, and choosing what needed doing first. And then feeling a sigh of relief when I started checking things off, one by one.
.
…Coming home to a warm dinner and cozy jammies after a blah day. The comforts of home can sure work wonders when the spirit needs a little brightening.
.
…Little snippets of quiet time to myself to collect my thoughts. Simply a stretch of quiet can be such a gift.
.
…A spot in a field trip opening up, when I had put us on the waiting list, so we could join. It was one that Bracken was really excited about, and I was so glad it worked out.
.
…Following an inspiration for dinner last night, rather than my original plans. It was quicker, easier, and something different that we all enjoyed.

Comfrey only spreads bad when the roots are tilled, all the little pieces will grow new plants. We miss you all and wish we were home.
Oh, good to know about the comfrey. We miss you too and have been thinking about you both. Hope you can come home soon!
