{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Yellow. It’s a color I love so much. It brightens rainy days, and further brightens sunny ones.
.
…Jeff coming home with forks. Our forks always seem to disappear and we had been meaning to get more for quite some time. I was so glad that he remembered and we finally got more. Little things.
.
…Bracken being interested in what I was doing in the kitchen and wanting to be a part of the process. Sometimes he’s busy with his own pursuits while I work in the kitchen and other times he likes to join me. I love when we work together side by side.
.
…Enjoying chard with our meal that Jeff and Bracken grew.
.
…The relief I felt when I listened to my intuition about a decision, rather than the guilt and shoulds my mind was feeding me. When I make a choice, even a simple one, and then feel peace wash over me, I know my answer.
.
…Sheets drying in the sun. They always feel so fresh when they’re infused with sunshine.
.
…Watching Bracken and his friend being entertained for hours with simply a bug net and a little bug house. They caught so many bugs that day and had a blast.
.
…Being able to help others. It’s the best feeling to be able to help someone, even in small ways.
.
…Making smoothies for breakfast and then drinking them outside. A few moments in the warm sun, with bare feet, and blooming flowers, was the very best way to start our day before we dug into our work (especially in contrast to our rushed mornings.)
.
…Family and friends calling and writing. I’m always happy to hear from people I love.
