{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Unfurling ferns. I love the way they look.
.
…The quiet of early mornings when the world is not quite awake yet. I love that time of day.
.
…Tying buttons on cards out in the sunshine. I didn’t get that many done, but it’s a start. And it felt good to be out enjoying the sun before the rain came back.
.
…Jeff surprising me and making a new spray cleaner. We were all out and when I came downstairs the next morning there was a spray bottle in the kitchen all ready and waiting. I love a clean kitchen and that made me very happy!
.
…Bracken helping me wash a pile of woolens (by hand this time, rather than my usual method, which was fun), and then hanging them to dry. I kept setting them aside and this last week wanted to tackle all those projects I’d been putting off on busy days.
.
…Baking muffins for the first time in awhile, with a helper by my side. We had fun in the kitchen together and it’s been great to have another snack to reach for in the fridge when we’re hungry.
.
…Putting fresh straw in the nesting boxes in the coop. (The hens thank me for freshening up the boxes by scratching it all out on the ground. Ha! But I like to do it anyway.)
.
…The sound of the rain on the roof. I complained about the extra long stretch of rain over the winter, but once we had a small break and then the rain came back, it felt kind of cozy, and the sound was comforting.
.
…Jeff lighting the bonfire down below. We had a big pile of yard debris that needed to be burned up before the hot weather returns, which will be coming before we know it.
.
…Every little thing I do for myself that is kind, my body and spirit appreciates it. Let’s all remember to be kind to ourselves… oh, and Happy Mother’s Day!

I love this. I also made muffins this week and it was treat. I am thankful for a lot of the same things you mentioned. I just transplanted some ferns and I was thinking how neat they are.
