I’m popping by to let you know that I posted ten new shawl pins in the shop today. I keep getting requests for them, and was asked for more celtic knot ones too. I chose a wide variety of woods, some with designs and some without, and hopefully everyone will find what they had in mind. (If not, send me a message through our Etsy shop and Jeff said he’d be happy to make you a custom one.) I love the shawl pins that Jeff makes and think they’re so beautiful that it makes me want to knit a shawl for myself just to wear one. (His buttons inspired me to start knitting sweaters in the first place!) I knit my first shawl last year, the Pebble Beach Shawl, for my mom for her birthday. Now I’d like to find a pattern to knit for myself. What are your favorite shawl patterns? Come winter time, wrapping myself up in a shawl sounds so cozy.
P.S. When I laid the shawl pins out on a table while I got things organized to start taking pictures, I thought they looked so pretty all lined up there, like a wood rainbow of colors. Madrone, red cedar, myrtlewood, black walnut, mahogany… a beautiful rainbow indeed!

Jeff’s shawl pins are so beautiful. Makes me want to knit a shawl. If you find an easy pattern for one, please share it on your blog. I always see lovely ones on the various knitting blogs I look at, but some are so finely knit, I don’t know if I could do that.
