Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The different varieties of calendula Jeff planted in the garden this year. It’s been a fun surprise to see what pops up.
.
…Finding raspberries. We had completely forgotten about the second crop that comes later in the season, so that was a happy thing to stumble upon.
.
…Listening to music while I cleaned up the kitchen and made breakfast. I know I’ve said this many times before, but I love listening to music when I’m in the kitchen.
.
…Just enough time to bake two loaves of banana bread before we needed to be somewhere. I was glad I was able to squeeze in some baking that day because we were all out and some freshly baked banana bread was a good treat to come home to.
.
…Meeting an amazing tortoise that a new friend brought to a class we’ve been going to. She’s had the tortoise for a long time and it was the sweetest thing, and such an awesome experience to interact with it.
.
…Jeff finding a secondhand cabinet that gave him a lot of space for organizing, which was greatly needed because he had hardly any space to put anything in that room before.
.
…Getting rid of a heavy piece of furniture I never liked and putting something else in it’s place that served the purpose much better.
.
…Doing things out of my comfort zone that I know are good for me. They stretch me and challenge me and help me grow.
.
…Bracken and I making a picture together with daily reminders and taping it up on the fridge. I’m such a visual person, that I find visual reminders so helpful.
.
…Rain in Oregon! Thank goodness for that, it’s been helping control the forest fires. I was worried about the air quality for so many people I love and am relieved for the clearer air.
.
…My mom sending out constant updates from Florida. Sending prayers to all…
