I still have a few more sewing projects to share. This is sewing project #4 from the summer… a pincushion. This was a fun little project that my sewing teacher came up with. It was quick and simple to make, and has gotten a lot of use. The elastic band around the wrist makes it perfect for holding your pins where they are easily accessible while you are sewing. It’s really clever.
The two fabrics were both ones that my friend (and sewing teacher) had- one a vintage fabric, and the other with a cactus print I really liked. I think cactuses and pincushions go well together, and it makes me smile when I look at this little cactus pincushion. I find it deeply satisfying to make things, even little things. Up next: another project I made with more of that cactus fabric… Can you even handle the suspense?! 🙂
………..
{P.S. For fun, sewing projects from before: napkins, a drawstring bag, and baby pants.}

Taryn; I just love your enthusiasm!!!! It made me smile this morning. You have been my inspiration to start sewing again. I have made reusable sandwich and snack bags (the sandwich bags have a fold over closure, the snack ones a Velcro closure); and am now working on napkins. What a great handmade Christmas gift.
I love the pin cushion and the print is so fun. Cant wait to see your next project.
Much love to you and yours💕
