Jeff and I have been busy with holiday orders and custom orders, thank you! I took a break from all the things to do at home and went to the Winter Light Fair at the Waldorf School with my boy on Saturday. As it is every year, dipping candles was a favorite activity. B started out with two candles and then dipped them together to form one. He was excited to light his candle when we got home, and then was so inspired by the candle making that we plugged in our crock pot full of beeswax on Sunday. And again on Monday. Luckily we had plenty of wick and wax on hand. (Our old crockpot was finally done and I recently upgraded to a “new” (to us) crockpot from the thrift store. There is always an official beeswax crockpot around here.) We did some (top secret- ha!) holiday crafting on Sunday, and B also dipped candles. He made some other things with wax too. I love this time of year when we have our crockpot of beeswax out because it makes the house smell so good, and it makes me think we should get it out more often. My to-do lists are long this week, but I’m hoping to get some things wrapped up so we can squeeze in a little more holiday crafting in the next few days! Do any of you have any crafting going on for the holidays?

Definitely need to do candles next year, this year I completely forgot but wouldn’t have done it anyways with an 2 year old toddler running wild these days 🙂
however I finished aaaaall of my sewing projects early – wouldn’t have thought that I’d have all my sewn presents finished and packed on the 18th, but I’m delighted 🙂
I made a dress for my daughter, a sweater for my son, cozy woolen mitts for my daughter and her godmother, a teeny tiny little sweater and pants for my brother’s baby (which is due in May- but I couldn’t resist anyways 😉 ), leggins for my daughter…and I made beanies for my daughter’s kindergarden “teachers” who she loves so very much 🙂
plus my daughter did all kinds for crafts with paper, lots of glue, glitter, stickers and such stuff which she gives to everyone she likes…she’s seriously the best!

No crafting this year! We are just putting our house back together after hiring a professional painter (last week) to paint our entire main level of our house. This week (Mon & Tues) we had our main level flooring installed! Now, putting the house back together and cleaning up all of the construction dust is on my list! Oh and…putting up our Christmas tree lol! At least all of my shopping an wrapping is finished!
I just love Mr. B’s candle and your story on Instagram was so lovely!

We also have an old crock pot full if beeswax and it has been swing some action lately too! First I made some tapers so my little one could safely help to our advent candles, then I made little tree ornaments using Christmas chocolate moulds! My little one has been decorating wooden ornaments and making paper chains, so many lovely activities for little hands this time of year. Enjoy your crafting, Kathie.
