Recently Jeff’s Aunt Isla surprised us with a magazine subscription to ‘Mary Janes Farm.’
The first time I ever heard about this magazine was in a book called ‘Made from Scratch’ by Jenna Woginrich (a very sweet read.) She highly recommended it.
Then our fellow homesteader-friend, Lara, said how wonderful it was (along with Mary Jane’s books.) Lara actually got to meet Mary Jane Butters, who sounds like an incredibly inspiring lady. When I saw a few issues of this magazine at Lara’s place, I knew I wanted to check them out.
Not long after, we got the surprise notification in the mail. How did Aunt Isla know? Well, bless her heart because we are both delighted!
We just received our first two issues and I’ve been diving into them, feeling right at home among the community of farm girls.

Oh wow … she has a magazine out!?! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I have a hardcover book of Mary Jane’s and I love paging through it at night before bed. She seems like such an amazing woman. Definitely going to have to put my feelers out for this magazine.
