{Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The sweet handknit pouch our friend made for Bracken that he adores so much. A ladybug home, it is.
.
…Open windows and how different it makes the house feel. I love being able to hear the birds.
.
…Jeff sauteing spring peas with mushrooms. So good.
.
…Seeing swallows in our birdhouse (that has sat unoccupied for many, many years.) We only saw them there once and I’m not sure if they decided to stay, but we were excited nonetheless.
.
…Our internet working again after it was out all night and part of a day.
.
…Waiting until the last minute to wake Bracken when we needed to leave by a certain time one morning, only to have him wake up on his own. (It’s always hard for me to wake a sleeping child. They’re growing and they need their sleep!)
.
…Being on time, even with a detour in the road and needing to take an entirely different route.
.
…Rain on the roof. Such a good sound to fall asleep to.
.
…Nettles. They’re such a nutritious green and we love being able to eat them regularly.
.
…Bracken becoming the official “mushroom cutter” for the white button mushrooms in our house. With his wooden knife, he really enjoys his new title.
.
…Trades. They bring so many blessings our way.
.
…Enjoying the first raspberries of the season from farmer’s market yesterday. (And that we didn’t get rained on, despite the overcast skies, during our market day.)
