This is a sneak peak at a few new handpainted earrings that we’ll have in our booth at the Wildflower & Music Festival this Sunday at the Mount Pisgah Arboretum. Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a 209-acre living tree museum open every day of the year. This will be our first time visiting the Arboretum as well as the festival and I can’t tell you how excited we are and how much we’ve been looking forward to it.
Here are some of the festival highlights: 300-400 Wildflower species on display, live music all day, nature walks with expert guides, a plant sale, art in nature trail, food booths from local favorites, and art and craft vendors. Proceeds from the festival support the Arboretum’s work in habitat restoration and environmental education.
I told my mom about the festival and that it made me think of my grandmother, wishing I could bring her along. My mom said that my grandma knows more about wildflowers than anyone she’s ever met and that when my mom was little, she used to take her class on field trips into the woods, identifying the different wildflowers. I’ll be thinking about my grandma all day and telling her about it all afterwards.
A note for you locals: we will not be at market on Saturday, we’ll be setting up our booth for the festival that day instead. Hope to see you out at the Wildflower & Music Festival on Sunday!
Have a great weekend everybody!

Please put some of the handpainted ones on your etsy shop! I have two gift recipients who would LOVE both the hummingbirds and the irises!

The painted earring are just beautiful. I especially like the iris ones. If I wore ones that hang down I would buy me a pair for sure. I always feel worried that I will get them caught on something and tear my ear lobe. Silly I know, but some things just don’t respond to reason.
