Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Beautiful blue hydrangeas.
.
…How animated and entertaining Jeff is every time he reads a book to Bracken. Being a goof, making up words, and using his best voices, Bracken always enjoys it.
.
…Eating breakfast outside for two mornings in a row, and then eating our dinner out there too. I love when we eat our meals outside.
.
…Bracken saving the middle of the celery left in the fridge and planting it in the garden.
.
…Bringing my work outside any chance I get. When it’s portable, I’d rather be working on it outdoors. (Now if only I could move the kitchen out there!)
.
…Keeping my promise to Bracken that we would bake muffins that day, even though we didn’t finish until late in the evening. It postponed bedtime just a bit, but as you can imagine he didn’t mind that at all.
.
…Swinging by the thrift store with Bracken and actually being able to look through some of the clothes because Jeff wasn’t there. (He likes to go in, get what he needs, and come right back out. I hardly ever shop for clothes, but found a few shirts I was in need of and felt very happy about that.)
.
…Laundry brought off the line right before the rain came.
.
…Whenever people like my kitchen creations. I’ve never considered myself a great cook by any means, so whenever people like what I make I’m always delighted.
.
…A peach from the farmer’s market yesterday that was simply divine.
.
…The sound of rain on the roof throughout the night. What a welcome sound that is, we’ve been so in need of rain.
