Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Simple beauties. Like raindrops on kale flowers.
.
…Seeing two rainbows within a few days, one on a drive and one going right over our house. I’ve always thought seeing rainbows was good luck.
.
…Jeff spotting flowers on our honeyberries for the first time, we all went over to admire them.
.
…Getting all our earrings organized and put on displays to get ready for market season (coming up again soon.)
.
…How much better the house feels when it’s tidier. Like a deep breathe. And the inspiration to clean nooks and crannies that normally get ignored.
.
…Jeff and Bracken having an adventure just the two of them (and Bracken seeing his very first movie in a theater, quite the memorable experience.)
.
…My grandma’s dental surgery going well.
.
…Walking around the garden to notice what’s new.
.
…Easy leftovers. One day I made salads to put leftovers on, and voilà– instant meals. It was great.
.
…Whenever the house is still warm when we come home, it feels so cozy and welcoming that way.
.
…Jeff playing the guitar last night while Bracken danced and I worked on blocking a knit. I got it shaped and pinned where I wanted it, and then got to watch a wonderful performance.
