This is a familiar sight for me these days, a muffin tin full of buttons. You can find me with one of these in my lap quite often lately. (Jeff was the one who came up with the idea to use muffin tins to organize our buttons years ago and it’s a method that we still use. I can separate our buttons into families to tie on cards and it works quite well that way.) We’ve been really busy getting ready for the Black Sheep Gathering this weekend. Jeff has been making buttons, buttons, and more buttons and I’ve been tying them all on cards, working to get caught up. (We’ll also have some jars full of buttons with some great deals!)
We’re really looking forward to the Black Sheep Gathering! We set up a booth at two fiber festivals in Oregon each year and our whole family loves the fiber festivals. If you have visited our booth at the market, you may have noticed that we only have a small sampling of buttons there. We have limited space in our car and with each different show that we do, we bring our items that are most popular at each. If you have been looking for our buttons, you will find our largest selection when we set up shop at the fiber festivals. We’ll also have lots of shawl pins, along with some jewelry. The show hours are Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 9-4, at the Lane County Fairgrounds. You can find us in booth P4. (Here is a map.) Now, I must be off because I have a muffin tin full of buttons that are waiting for me!
P.S. I will be closing the shop for the duration of the show and re-opening it early next week.

Good luck! Some day I hope to make it to Oregon for the festival.

I am so sad I don’t get to go this year. Family commitments seem to all fall on the same weekends. Hope you have great sales and a great time. I so wanted to pet all the animals, almost brought one home last year. So it’s probably for the best.
