There is something so beautiful about mornings in the garden, when the light first rises up over the treetops and starts reaching the garden. Everything feels fresh and new. The plants are not yet exhausted from the heat of the day, but are lively, and refreshed from the cool night, and standing tall. Everything is covered with dew and when the light hits it and it sparkles it makes it all look magical, even a simple blade of grass. I love stepping outside to feed the chickens and gather eggs, or to harvest something for our meal before I set to work in the kitchen making breakfast. To feel that refreshing morning air, to watch the sun rising higher, to get those few moments in the garden before I start my day… it’s my favorite way to begin a morning.
