{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Some help getting this site back up and running when it was down. I came to write a post yesterday, but couldn’t even get into the site. I’m grateful it’s working again!
.
…The excitement of snow when it doesn’t come very often. And seeing our snowman still there days later, even when most of the snow around it had melted.
.
…Watching a Bob Ross show for the first time in years. I love Bob Ross! I told Jeff and Bracken all about the show since they had never seen it, and they enjoyed watching him paint too. (Any other Bob Ross fans out there?)
.
…Bracken announcing, after watching Bob Ross paint clouds, that creating clouds are really easy. Then he shared with us his very own technique for making a cloud “just make a cauliflower without a stem!” I had never thought of it like that before, what a great perspective, and he cracked me up with the way he said it.
.
…Jeff having a surprise for us when he came back from town, some carnations to brighten up our house. Bless his heart.
.
…Figuring out how to use our new fax machine and getting a fax sent out. We said a little cheer when the fax finally went through.
.
…Coming downstairs in the mornings to a warm house. Jeff is the earliest riser in the house and I so appreciate him starting a fire in the woodstove every morning.
.
…Teamwork. Most days we get so tired by the time dinner rolls around. Some nights we work together to get dinner made and it goes so much faster. One person making the salad, one person washing dishes, one person cooking at the stove. I love those nights.
.
…The sweet and thoughtful questions that children ask. This week I was asked “how do fairies put shirts on when they have wings?” That’s a good question. We guessed that they had slits in their shirts for the wings to go through, but decided that it would still be very difficult to put a shirt on if you had wings.
.
…My uncle being okay after being in the emergency room. They found blood clots, thank goodness they had broken up, and he was so, so lucky to be alive! Though I listed this last, it’s at the top of my list this week. I’m so grateful he’s okay.

I discovered Bob Ross last fall! Amazing and so peaceful to watch him work.
