{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Waking up with sunshine pouring in the windows and palm trees and flowers in view. And then going to sleep to that soothing, nighttime sound of crickets chirping.
.
…A lunch we ate by the water where we watched the boats, kayaks, and paddle boarders go by.
.
…Avocado with lime for a morning snack, then avocado in our smoothie, and then having another avocado with our lunch. We simply couldn’t get enough of those delicious avocados!
.
…Walks. Around the block, at the beach, at a nature reserve… I loved the many walks that we went on.
.
…Family time, a whole house full of people, and a group that hadn’t been together in years.
.
…A night of singing around the fire. So much fun.
.
…Washing our laundry at my mom’s house so we could pack lighter, and then coming home with a suitcase of clean clothes. (It’s wonderful to return home with hardly any laundry to do from the trip.)
.
…Lively card games and laughing, and the memories it brought back to me from my childhood with my grandpa and uncles.
.
…Getting to our next flight just in time to board when our plane had been delayed, arriving late to the airport. (And then Jeff being there to wait for us at the airport even though our last plane arrived thirty minutes early. I told Bracken he might not be there yet, so we were very delighted when he was.)
.
…Having our feet back on Oregon soil last night after the longest day of airplane travel we’ve had yet. And then running into our dear friend at the airport just as we were loading our suitcases in our car. It was the most wonderful coincidence (and gift) to be greeted by her smiling face.
