Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bracken being so proud when he put the stamps on so many of the holiday cards we sent out. (And that we made holiday cards this year since we haven’t done that in so many years.)
.
…Jeff’s great solution when I told him I can’t stand licking all those envelopes (a big pet peeve of mine, the after taste is terrible. Anyone else feel that way?) He had a little sponge on a stick, which we got lightly wet and sealed all the envelopes with it. It worked great.
.
…Having such an amazing farmer’s market in this area, even in the winter time. (Thanks greenhouses!)
.
…Really good parking spots. My mom calls them “rockstar parking.” It’s always a fun surprise to get rockstar parking, isn’t it?
.
…That my mom is not the least bit phased when she hears me as a total flusterball on the phone.
.
…Coming home to see that Jeff cleared up some debris in the driveway and cleaned out the chicken coop and yard (and worked for the business.) How did he have time for it all?
.
…An amazing soup made by Jeff. There were no leftovers.
.
…Bracken asking about gratitude and me saying it’s something you feel in your heart, feeling thankful for things. Then he told me he felt some gratitude in his throat. (And later in his hip. Ha! He cracks me up.)
.
…Our friends dropping by and giving a handmade card to Bracken to make him feel better when he had been having a rough morning. (And the snowpants they gave him that were perfect for going down his slide on a rainy day.)
.
…Some unexpected treasures at the thrift store when I had just been running in to find something in particular.
.
…Watching a little boy who loves his chickens pulling a container of weeds for them in the garden.
.
…The new place that opened up for my sister and brother in law to rent that they are so excited about!
